A major honors system for life sciences, medical innovation, clinical translation, and public health.

The ZALSH Excellence Awards are a major honors system established by the ALLIANCE FOR LIFE SCIENCES AND HEALTH DEVELOPMENT (ZALSH) for the fields of life sciences, medical research, clinical translation, biotechnology, and public health. Through sustained development, the awards have become one of the representative honors widely recognized for professional influence in the field, dedicated to recognizing individuals, teams, and institutional representatives with outstanding achievements in life science exploration, medical innovation, health practice, and young talent development.

The Excellence Awards use scientific value, innovative contribution, translational potential, and social impact as core evaluation principles, with attention to the full innovation chain from basic research to clinical application and from technological breakthroughs to public health practice. The awards value original discoveries in life sciences and also emphasize the practical contribution that research outcomes make to disease understanding, diagnostic and therapeutic methods, health management, technology application, and public health system development. Through a continuous, standardized, and professional review mechanism, the awards have gradually formed an evaluation system with academic rigor, practical value, and industry credibility.

At present, the Excellence Awards include five major categories: Basic Medical Research Award, Clinical Translation Innovation Award, Public Health Contribution Award, Biotechnology Breakthrough Award, and Young Scholar Rising Star Award. These categories recognize outstanding achievements at different development stages and contribution types within life sciences and health.
